The Story County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) will meet on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Skip Walter, AD0H, will provide the presentation, entitled "Introduction to Amateur Radio Contesting".
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in North Conference Rooms A and B on the first floor of Mary Greeley Medical Center. Parking is available near the north entrance. This meeting is free and open to the public.
The Thursday, December 1 meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will feature Mike Howell, KD0ISU, RACOM Radio Tech, who will discuss using Software Defined Radios (SDR) to monitor Public Safety trunked radio systems. Mike will also discuss how online scanners work, including his experience hosting a livestream audio feed.

The next regular meeting of Story County Amateur Radio Club will be Thursday, November 3, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the Danfoss Room in the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave.
